Spy Shots: All New Ferrari F450 !!!

Feast your eyes on Ferrari's all-new F430 replacement! Spied being rolled onto the back of a truck in Italy, these are the first pictures of the Prancing Horse's new entry-level model – the F450.
As you can see, the new model looks very different to the current car with a pair of sweeping side air vents, which have been enlarged to cool the improved engine and brakes.In a bid to compete with the Lamborghini Gallardo, the new car will get a larger 4.5-litre V8 engine – hence the name – putting out around 500bhp thanks to modified mechanicals including a higher rev limit.
It will also get a new gearbox too, in the shape of the California’s seven-speed double clutch unit. This is likely to modified to suit the mid-engined car’s sportier demeanour.
Expect the F450 to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with UK sales starting in 2010. Read more...

The BT92's M3 engine has been upgraded to racing specification in almost every respect. The dimensions of the cylinders are now 93.3mm-by-80.2mm against the original 4.0-liter V8's 92.0mm-by-75.2mm, yielding a displacement of 4.4 liters. A forged crankshaft has been carefully balanced and the camshaft profiles are new, while the cylinder heads have been machined for bigger valves and the pistons have been given a low-friction coating. Naturally, the all-new intake and exhaust systems have been optimized for more power, some 494 hp at 8,300 rpm and 354 pound-feet of torque at 5,700 rpm
Another aspect to the expensive, 20-day process that converts an ordinary 2010 BMW M3 to the Brabham Racing BT92 is the use of a full complement of carbon-fiber body panels (the M3 roof panel remains, of course). The result of all the carbon fiber is added structural rigidity, together with a weight loss of 110 pounds in the body alone.
The standard M3's factory-estimated 4.5-second dash to 60 mph is improved by the BT92 to 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the latest dual-clutch GK gearbox that's being developed as an option

This is a valid point made with some honesty, and it's crucial to the BT92's future. In fact, Brabham Racing intends to break the lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for modified production cars, set at 7:20 by a 2009 Dodge Viper ACR last summer. It will be done with the Clubsport version of the 2010 Brabham Racing BT92, which has been the real goal of the little company's whole M3 project. In fact, Michael Trick wants to take Brabham Racing into real motorsport with a team of BMWs in the World Touring Car championship and even one day (why not dream big), a team of BMWs for the DTM in a collaboration between Brabham Racing, Alpina and Schnitzer.

CLS Customed By MEC !!!
One of Germany’s most bespoke Mercedes-Benz aftermarket specialists – MEC Design of Berlin – has smoothed over the CLS range.
Already one of the world’s most sculptural designs, the CLS profile remains relatively untouched, with MEC concentrating on detailing.
MEC’s CLS bodykit adds a new front bumper with daytime running lights, oddly embedded fog lights backed by mesh inserts and a new, diffuser framed rear bumper.
LED embedded side skirts ensure the front and rear styling elements are linked, whilst MEC’s 20-inch, gangster certified, high gloss three-piece alloy wheels brook no argument with regards to presence.
To ensure the rims are even more menacing in their profile, MEC has spaced them by 10mm on the front axle and 19mm at the rear.
An upgraded airmatic suspension override module lowers the CLS by between 40-70mm (depending on customer preference), to ensure even harmless, quarter-sized, speed bumps become insurmountable obstacles.
A boon of the suspension kit upgrade is the presence of coilover adjustability at all four wheel corners, allowing up to 28 settings, with both dampening and rebound adjustability only the turn of a knob away.
Performance upgrades are limited to a mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust system designed for optimal acoustic resonance.
Super Efficient Corolla Engine !!
Toyota's "Optimal Drive Technology" – released in Europe only three months ago – is now on the road in South Africa in a new 1.3-litre engine that replaces the previous entry-level 1.4-litre unit in the Corolla range.
It's not so much a new idea as a package of weight and friction-reducing techniques blended with some racing tweaks to produce a light, compact and fuel-efficient engine.
Toyota's slide-rule samurai started by reversing the current "oversquare" trend and going back to an old-fashioned long-stroke (72.5 x 80.5mm) configuration, which enabled them to build a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder engine 54mm shorter, 127mm narrower and 13kg lighter than the 1.4 it replaces – in fact it's the same size as the one-litre, three-cylinder engine in the Yaris.
The weight of each piston has been reduced from 280 to180g, piston skirt area and ring tension reduced to cut friction and the crankshaft offset so the con-rod is vertical when combustion chamber pressure is at its highest.
Computer simulations found the smoothest intake airflow with all surfaces smoothed and angles rounded – racing tuners would call it a gas-flowed head – and the combustion chambers have improved combustion efficiency.
Thin, long-reach iridium spark plugs and stick coils help make the cylinder head more compact. Variable valve timing on both camshafts improves torque spread and roller rocker arms reduce valve-train friction.
Toyota quotes 74kW at 6000rpm (a four percent improvement on the previous 1.4) and 132 Nm at 3800rpm. CO2 emissions, it says, are down from 158 to 138g/km and average fuel consumption from 6.7 to 5.9 litres/100km.
The six-speed manual gearbox has also been reduced in size and weight with smaller casings and a hollow output shaft.
AMG Version Of Mercedes Benz E-Class Revealed !!
The new E63 will continue with the potent hand-built 6.2L V8, although the rest of the car’s mechanical package is expected to have been given a major makeover. Power has been bumped up to 525hp (392kW). Engineers will be focusing more on improve handling and chassis strength, borrowing a number of features from the new C63 AMG.Read more...
