AC SCHNITZER Energizes BMW 7..
Not to be outdone by Alpina, fellow German tuning house, AC Schnitzer, has set about embellishing BMW’s 7 Series limo, displaying its latest ACS7 kit at the Geneva auto show.
Known for its outlandish BMW-based designs, AC Schnitzer has gone for more subtle approach to the latest 7.
Both boot and roof spoilers complement the 7 Series proportions instead of overwhelming them, with choice chrome side skirt dividers and a pseudo diffuser rear spoiler element rounding of the ACS7’s look.
Filling out the 7 Series wheelarches are typically ornate AC Schnitzer mags in a variety of styles and sized up to 22-inches.
Dynamically the ACS7 swaps standard springs for AC Schnitzer fettled coils, whilst a performance exhaust system and engine control unit reprogramming regime boosts power.
The 740i sees a 25kW increase from 240kW to 265kW, with the 730d boosted from 180kW to 210kW – worthwhile power hikes for both petrol and compression ignition straight-six twin-turbo 3l engines.
Interior finishes include AC Schnitzer mats and an aluminium pedal set and iDrive controller cover.
